My kids have been going here for years. Just recently though things have been not right. When u call 90% of time u get a vm and they dont call you back if you leave one. Then i took my kids in for an yearly exam. They literally brushed their teeth with a tooth brush for the cleaning. Then told them they were done. Now im womdering if i need to take them somewhere else for a real annual exam. You can believe they did xrays and charged for everything tho.

My son had the best experience here a couple months ago. I HIGHLY recommend Akron Smiles if your kiddo is nervous or has had a previous bad experience at another office like my son did. Every single person at this office was wonderful, I was so happy with them I promptly brought my other son the following week. We will not ever be going anywhere else. Massive thanks to Margi the RN (especially), Maria & Ebony, and Dr. Wood. My boys REALLY like Dr. Wood, he was so good with them. I wish I had written down everyone’s names bc every single person was kind, caring, calm, sincere, and took their time. You all treated my son as if he were your own and I can’t seem to find the words to adequately express my gratitude. Keep up the good work, you’re all amazing at your jobs! Thank you for being there for us 😃

Definitely would not recommend this office to anyone. Not only did they schedule my son for us to show up and not be on the schedule when I had their appointment card the people they contract out for the anesthesia was very rude to me because of how my sons father reacted to the mistakes of the office. When I say rude when I wasn’t the one that treated her that way? Is an understatement. Then they decide to refuse to see my son at all. Without even talking to me or my sons father to follow up on what happened when we started off with them messing up in the first place. The doctor barely even checked my sons mouth and I’m glad it ended up this way. Horrible office! Good luck to anyone that goes there. The ladies in the back are super nice but definitely not the office ladies. Felt sketchy from the start God just helped me out. I didn’t feel safe at all.

This is probably the most unprofessional dental place I've ever been too. It's like a cattle call for kids' dental appointments. I showed up 15 minutes early for an 8:30am appt. Didn't go back until 8:50. There were 8 other kids waiting for appointments in the waiting room. None of the staff tried to talk to me or my kids. They fumbled around for things like they didn't know what they were doing. They took x-rays and then brushed their teeth. Literally brushed them... like I do at home. Only I feel like I try to be more thorough at home than they were. Also, the teeth cleaning space was open with six chairs sitting out where everyone can see each other. Another kid started crying and one of my kids, who was previously fine, starts crying b/c he doesn't know why the other kid is scared and now thinks something bad is going to happen. The dentist looked at their teeth for 2 seconds spread some fluoride on them, and said they were fine. That was it. No other conversation or asking any questions at all. Like, maybe about why my oldest is missing his two front teeth/ how it happened. He's 5. This was my first time there. Did they even notice? Highly suggest looking elsewhere.

If you do not value your time, then this is the place for you. Unprofessional, unsanitary and altogether unorganized. First visit seemed great. My child needed some dental work. Scheduled 2 weeks out. Akron Smiles called me 24hrs in advance of my sons appointment to ask if I could arrive earlier for this appointment @1030 as they had quite a few cancellations and/or reschedules. Fair enough. We live 2 hours away from the office. Made it to the office at 9:30 AM. Left the office at 10:50 AM with a frustrated, hungry and thirsty child who had not been seen. Not only were staff unfriendly but they treated all the children there like they were invisible. Absolute waste of time, energy and effort. Don't delay your kids with these people. Read the 1 star reviews. Their experience is verbatim how our first visit was.
